House #9

I was just over reading Stitch by Stitch post from today. She has posted her wonderful finish of Casting a Spell and she also posted pics of her WIP of Judith Kirby's Victorian House #9 and #15!
Be sure to check out her beautiful work!
I stitched #9 back in 2000 and it is my favorite Halloween project.

When I found this pattern it was in the discontinued bucket at a LNS and I had no idea until two years ago that there was another house (#15) that has the cutest witch and superman trick or treaters.

I can tell you right here, right now I will NOT be buying this pattern online for $60 some dollars!! That is crazy! Yes i just saw a closed auction for the two patterns for $63. Now if Ms. Kirby herself was selling it for that I would consider it, as she would be profiting from the increase in value of her design.

I will continue in my hunt at used book stores and yard sales, that by chance I will find #15. Until then I will admire the works of others who have completed this adorable pair of houses.

Hope you are having a Spooktacular autumn season!

**Welcome to my newest followers **

Keep on stitching!

You are too sweet. Some times it's the hunt that is most exciting. Hehehe.

Thank you! It was nice to hear the kind words
I was so surprised.
I would love to borrow you the pattern when I get done, but who knows when that wil be, no promises here, lol
I think over the years I have list somewhere of stitchers that want it stitch them.
The framed piece looks great. I lovevthectrick or treaters like you, they are so cute.

I just bought #15 at Mari-Pat's in Long Beach, Ca. For just 3.50 plus tax. If you want it, just let me know...I can get it if they don't want to mail it to you. I know they had one left Sat. I was looking for #9, but like you, not for that price.

Hello, I just discovered your blog while searching for house #9. You've done a beautiful job of stitching it! :) I am probably too late, but in case you haven't found House#15 yet...... I have House#15 and, once I'm done stitching it, I can send you the chart if you'd like to swap your #9? The Superman and Witch are very cute and, even though #15 can stand alone, I would much prefer having both scenes/houses stitched together. (Like you, I don't wish to pay the crazy high prices that people are asking for these charts online, unless it was to the designer directly, but I would love to share my chart#15 with a fellow stitcher)
Sincerely,
Christine (dcwalk@nl.rogers.com)
