Mad dash for stash in Mass.

A few Saturday's ago my girlfriend and I got up at the crack of dawn, leaving at 5:30ish in the morning to head to Brookfield, Massachusetts. We were headed to Bush Mountain Stitchery for their grand opening in their new location. It was definitely worth the trip. We got some great stash and deals. They were still in process of fishing the second area of the shop for framing and gifts, so we know a return trip will be made. I was very pleased with my finds and picked up some gingham linen and over dyed fiber. I will share pics this weekend, just so happy to be able to type. Hehehehe. I am a bit giddy.

Last weekend I took a five day trip to Charlotte, NC for a scrapbooking convention with my mother-in-law, my husband's aunts, cousin and family friend. It was a hoot of a time. We needed a girls weekend and it was great. I was overwhelmed with all the scrap booking stash, but proud to say I was frugal in my spending and only picking up two album packages and two small mini pages packs at the convention. I did get the cutest caddy at Michael's ON SALE!! I plan on using it to hold my wool when I am hooking.

A trip to Charlotte is not complete with a stop in Rock Hill, SC at Stitch and Frame. I spent more on stitching stash then on scrapping stash. I saw Sergei in person and pick him up with a few other designs and some over dyed floss. No more stash for a long time. I can't look at anymore new patterns I have so many to do.... Aaaahhhhhhh.

Thank you for your patience while I wollered in my blogger misery. Hello to my newest followers and my appreciation goes out to those that continue to follow and leave comments. I have enjoyed the friendships that have been made since joining the blog world. Too cool.

Wow I can tell I am only partially focused on my hobby, my mind is on work and planning our upcoming visit and trip with my hubby's parents and grandma. Will have a few progress and SQUIRREL! distraction projects. Have you seen the movie UP? I am easy distracted....SQUIRREL! See what I mean. Hehehhe.

Keep on stitching. P.J.

HA! SQUIRREL is a well used joke around here to describe ME! I usually have 16 things half completed and then I can't remember what it is I was doing. *sigh*

I went to Bush Mountain Stitchery quite often when they were in PA. I miss them! You'll have to tell Maeanne I said "HI" when you see her next.

You are so stinkin' funny! One of the many reasons I love you so much. Glad we made the run to Bush Mtn - when can we go again? Get those stash pics posted, Woman!!! I needed a quickie couple days ago so stitched up a Just Nan Whimzi, Halloween, of course. Need to get it pressed and in the cute little frame. Time to schedule our next SNB?

Love you,
Karri
